Seattleites defend yourselves!

This is a billboard posted by Gravity Coffee obviously aimed at...
http://www.gravitycoffee.co.nz/
Eric spotted this along the highway and thought is was hilarious.

Here is the new "petrol friendly" Automobile

Yes, it is small, but you can't beat the fuel efficiency. And at approx. $5.00 a gallon it is crucial.
It is 2002 Honda Fit with about 55,000 miles on it. It is in great shape. Even if the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
:O)

Oh and we won't be getting personalized plates...they cost about $600.00.

Sneak peek at the house

Here are some photos of the flat we've rented. Hard to tell much from these images, but it's a start. We will take better ones once we move in. It has a parking spot for one car. Three bedrooms -one is quite small. We will use the large one with the small walk in closet. The other one will be our office and the 3rd one will be the guest and "other" room.

Coming soon...how much does a Starbucks coffee or a Big Mac cost in New Zealand? Feel free to send us what you want to know.

Things that make you laugh

No offense meant..... But this billboard made us laugh. Had to share!

And They're Not Kidding

So this is the signage indicating the gender for the restrooms in the Wellington Airport terminal. Wellington is also called Windy Wellington and they are not kidding. Sunday night was the most incredible wind storm we have ever experienced. Constant 40 mile an hour winds. the sounds was indescribable. For those of you in Seattle, if this had hit there, you would all be without power for at least a week or more. What was really amazing was that no one here even blinked. Apparently 40 mile and hour or as they call it 62km/hr, is just another windy day. It gets even stronger in a "real" storm. Gee, I can hardly wait.... In addition to these amusing images, Wellington has a multitude of art and sculptures that are all designed to interact with the wind. Some spin, some light up and some just move in the direction the wind is blowing. It certainly makes for a lot of bad hair days. I will take more photos to share as I continue to explore the city.

Cheers,
Stacy & Eric
